I've had a bartholin cyst once before, but that popped on it's own within a few days. My question is if I apply PRID or manuka will it work if there’s no “head”. I'll take a super hot sitz bath, apply prid religiously (it tends to stain underwear so think about using a pantyliner), and gently massage the cyst a few times a day. I am currently in Europe (from the US) and am having a really bad Bartholin Cyst flare up. Also when you do get an appointment ask your doctor about antibiotics, you'll most likely need them to avoid infection after the burst. I haven't seen a gynecologist bc i'm scared too scared to tell my mom 😭 So far, warm and cold compress ain't doing its job. During my pregnancy I had two Bartholin Cysts drained and I currently have one that has been here for at least 8/9 months. Warm baths are great to bring down swelling. I also saw a few people mention eating and putting manukau honey on the cyst due to its strong healing powers. Besides the 3 things I mentioned above, my constants in fighting BCs are: warm compresses and showers, massaging the area (please let me know if I shouldn’t be doing this), eating probiotics, and applying prid.
